Chances are if you are bringing a pet in for a check-up, you will have the pleasure of meeting Alisha, our Exam Room Assistant (ERA). Alisha has been the sunshiny help to our clients and patients at our hospital since she came aboard our team. She has always loved animals, and gained experience volunteering at various rescues during high school, and then completed her Veterinary Office Assistant (VOA) Program from Granville in 2013. Alisha was hired while doing her practicum at a small animal and exotic practice, where she worked until the opportunity arose for her to join Central Langley Pet Hospital, and she has loved her experience with us since!
Alisha has five pets that run her household- Stan Lee, her three-year-old Russian Blue cat. Manic and Mayhem, her two playful ferrets, and Maggie and Maple, her two sassy guinea pigs. Alisha spoils Stan Lee with Royal Canin Dental formula and C/D wet formula as a treat. Manic and Mayhem eat Purina Veterinary Diet’s DM dry feline formula for its high protein, low fat and fiber content that these little minks need, and her piggies get timothy hay, oxbow pellets and fresh veggies twice daily.
Any spare time that Alisha has is dedicated being at the gym exercising (or running at the park with her ferrets who are leash trained), relaxing watching Netflix or playing video games, and baking in the kitchen- which is a passion of hers, as well as her second job.
We are proud to inform you that Alisha is a Fear Free Certified Professional.
