WELCOME!

What to Expect

In your search for a veterinary hospital, we believe you expect high quality care as well as great service.
Our goal has been to assemble a veterinary health care team committed to providing exceptional client service and veterinary health care. Our team of AAHA Accredited and Fear Free Certified Professionals are here to make that goal a reality.

When you arrive at our facility for the first time you will be asked to fill out a new client form. You can save time by printing this out (see below)  and bringing it with you to your appointment.  If time allows, we will take a picture of your pet for our computer so that it prints out on your invoice and any prescriptions that may be needed, as well as is your family pet's "profile picture" for his or her Petly profile.

If your pet tends to experience fear, stress or anxiety during their transport to the hospital, or before, during, or after their visit, please mention this to one of our qualified and trained Fear Free Professionals when scheduling an appointment. Suggestions can be made to make this experience as calm and comfortable as possible! Filing out one of our Fear Free Emotional Reports (see below) will assist us in knowing what your pet(s) likes or dislikes are, as well as how to best prepare for an enjoyable experience for both you and your pet.

Next, one of our friendly receptionists will admit you and your pet to an exam room and take a brief history by asking questions to obtain  information that will be helpful to the doctor.

When the doctor arrives, they may bring an exam room assistant (ERA) with them into the room, who will be here to assist the doctor with holding your pet if you are uncomfortable to do so or to help the doctor with getting supplies or anything else that may be required. Having the exam room assistant present for the examination of your pet, allows the doctor to focus on their patient and spend more time with you.
If your pet is here for vaccinations, the doctor will discuss your pet's lifestyle and tailor a vaccination protocol specific to your pet's needs. Indoor cats may not require the same vaccines as outdoor cats; dogs that routinely go to dog parks, groomers or camping will need something different from a tiny chihuahua who seldom leaves the home!

If your pet is with us because he or she is not well, after a full examination by the doctor you will be provided with a Treatment Plan for any treatments or procedures your pet may require. The doctor will discuss this Treatment Plan with you and decide on the best course of action for your pet.

No matter what your pet is here for, our doctor will do a complete "nose to toes" examination. He or she will look in the eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and examine all the parts of the body. Your pet's temperature will be taken as well as their heart and lungs listened to. You might say, "I only want vaccines, why is all of that necessary?" Preventive medicine is the best medicine and can allow us to catch things earlier to help your pets live longer and healthier lives. Having a full physical exam done on your pet regularly ensures you are doing your part to keep your pet healthy.
