Always having a love of animals, it was only natural that Dr. Hasselaar began her career early in veterinary medicine when she was 16 years old as a kennel attendant. After completing her undergraduate at Simon Fraser University, she became a licensed Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at WCVM in Saskatchewan and moved back to beautiful British Columbia to practice in the field. Dr. Hasselaar has one senior dog, a lovely Chocolate Labrador, Larry, who enjoys a hypoallergenic diet of Purina Veterinary Diet HA Hydrolyzed and Royal Canin Hypo HP canned. She also has two senior cats, Queenie and Chester and they all get Purina Veterinary Diet’s DH diet with Essential Care canned formula and a young kitty that she delivered by emergency C-Section named Cash who enjoys Royal Canin Dental. ​ For hobbies and free time, Dr. Hasselaar prefers her time spent outdoors.
